Ornament 3 - finished

I have finished the third ornament for the Symmetry tree.

Again I have not finished it off as I am still deciding how to finish them all off. They are just stitched at the moment but I do have some great felt I know I want to use for finishing.

This is another design from the free booklet that came with the World of Cross Stitching magazine. The designer is Lesley Tearne, and is another metallic thread design. I changed it to white and green and used some red 26ct (?) count fabric I had in my stash. There is enough fabric left to do another one, and I think I am going to do a bell design next.

I finished the stitching on this yesterday - I like it but I don't think I'll do any more in the metalic thread as it twists and breaks too much. DS has been to town and fetched my felt so if I get time today I might finish them both off.

Now what shall I do for the next ornament?

This is my blog to keep track of the ornaments for my 2010 tree. It will be "Symmetry" this time with all the ornaments being mirror images down the vertical centre (well as near as possible).

I have started two - my star is stitched and I have started stitching the bauble but I need to get some backing fabric in the blue or gold to finish them.
